Inspired by the steep glacial valleys and hanging valley waterfalls of Milford Sound, in South Island New Zealand.

Day 14 of a 30-day series painting coastal trees, celebrating coastal trees and the confluence of land, sea, and tree. I search for play and awe in these places, encouraging us to remember how it felt to first encounter and share air with these great storytellers.

Drawn with permanent ink and painted with watercolor on heavyweight hot press watercolor paper.

Paper dimensions are 5″ x 7″. Artwork Dimensions are 3.5″ x 5.5″.
A simple 5×7 wood frame with plexiglass  is included with each sale.
